Getting to Lake Como

Flights into MXP

The closest major airport to Lake Como is Milan Malpensa (MXP). From the airport, you can easily travel to the lake by train, car, or taxi. We recommend booking your flights early to get the best options.

Train into Como

Taking the train is a safe, scenic, and convenient way to get to Lake Como. From Milan, it’s about a 45-minute train ride to the town of Como. Trains run frequently and are a great option for those not renting a car.

Ferry on the Lake

Lake Como's ferry system is a must-experience! It’s a fun and scenic way to explore the towns around the lake. Ferries connect towns like Bellagio, Como, and Lenno. You can find schedules and tickets by searching "Navigazione Laghi Lake Como".

Rent a Car

Renting a car gives you the freedom to explore the area. From Como, it’s about a 40-minute drive to Bellagio, while from Milan, the drive takes around 1.5 hours. Renting a car is a great option, especially if you plan to make a vacation out of your trip.

Wedding Party and Close Family Stay with Us at the Villa!

The wedding party and our closest family members will stay with us at Villa Aura del Lago from June 22–26, 2026. We’ll enjoy time together with special events like a pool party, brunch, and, of course, the wedding!

Others Have Stays Around the Lake

For other guests, Lake Como offers plenty of beautiful accommodations. Whether you stay close by in Bellagio or explore another charming town around the lake, there are amazing options to suit everyone’s preferences.

Stays in Bellagio

Bellagio is the closest town to Villa Aura del Lago, just 2 miles away. Staying here makes it convenient to get to the wedding venue by taxi or car. Bellagio also offers plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities.

Stays in Other Towns Around the Lake

If you choose to stay in another town, like Como or Lenno, you’ll need to take a water taxi or ferry to Bellagio and then a taxi to the villa. These towns offer a variety of accommodations, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly options, and are great for exploring the beauty of Lake Como.
