Q & A

1. What is the dress code?
Black tie with a touch of Italian flair. Formal attire is encouraged, but black is not required. Classic Italian-inspired colors are welcome, just nothing too bold or unconventional. Please visit our Dress Code page for inspiration.
2. What’s the weather like in Lake Como in June?
June is warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures around 75–85°F. Evenings can be cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket. The ceremony and dinner will be outside.
3. Are plus ones allowed?
No, unless your invitation says "& Guest".
4. Are kids allowed?
Hell no
5. What’s the best way to get to Lake Como?
The closest airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP). From there, you have a couple of options:
-
Take an Uber or taxi directly to Lake Como.
-
Take a 45-minute train ride to the town of Como. We usually take the train. It’s a great and safe option!
6. Where should I stay on the lake?
We recommend staying in or near Bellagio, as it’s the closest town to our venue and makes getting to and from the wedding much easier. The villa is approximately 2 miles from Bellagio.

Staying on the opposite side of the lake can make returning late in the evening more difficult, as ferry and water taxi service may be limited after the reception. If you do choose to stay elsewhere on the lake, we strongly recommend checking ferry schedules in advance or arranging transportation ahead of time.
7. Will transportation be included?
Transportation is not provided by the wedding. The easiest way to get to Villa Aura del Lago is by taxi or ride service (like Uber) from Bellagio. Please note that Uber in Bellagio can be unreliable or difficult to request on demand, so we recommend contacting a local taxi service or booking a ride in advance if possible.
If you’re coming from elsewhere on the lake, you could take a water taxi to Bellagio and then a taxi or ride service to the villa — but we don’t recommend crossing the lake first if you can avoid it, as reception may run late and public ferries / water taxis may stop operating in the evening. (This can make return trips more complicated.)
8. How do I use the ferry system in Lake Como?
The ferry is a convenient and scenic way to get around Lake Como. To check schedules and ticket information, visit the official Lake Como ferry website! Click here!
9. What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony, which begins at 4:00 PM. Champagne will be served upon arrival, and we’ll have a card station available for guests to sign. This will allow time to get settled and find a seat before the ceremony begins. The card station will also be available during cocktail hour.
